Obituary for Arlie "Pooh" Hill III

Arlie "Pooh" Hill III age 37 years, 11 months, and 20 days, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Funeral services were held Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the McCreary Central High School with Bro. George Allen Coffey officiating. A private burial followed in the Hill Family Cemetery.
He was born November 7, 1975 in Somerset, Kentucky to Arlie Hill, Jr. and Virginia Ruth (Foster) Hill. Pooh was a member of the Oak Grove United Baptist Church in Bell Farm, Kentucky. On March 11, 2000 he was united in marriage with his wife, Sharen (Hamlin) Hill and later started a family raising their children, a son Arlie Kyle and a daughter, Taylor Grace, "Gracie" as he called her.
Pooh was a Lieutenant with the Whitley City Fire Department, volunteering for more than 10 years. He was a vivid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. Pooh had so much love for his family and enjoyed spending time and taking care of each of them. Anyone who knew Pooh, knew there was no one else like him. He was one of a kind. Pooh was a CNA at the South Fork Medical Clinic where he spent the day helping others as well as entertaining them. He was a jokester and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed telling stories and making people laugh. Pooh was a special man who truly lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. He had dedication unlike many, never sweating the small things, but always seeing the bright side of the situation.
Preceding him in death is his father, Junior, and a brother, James Rufus Hill.
Survivors include his wife, Sharen Hill, his children, Arlie "Kyle" Hill and Taylor Grace Hill; his mother, Ruth Hill; a sister, Amy Wilson and husband, Grady; a brother, Phillip "Brian" Hill and wife, Christy; a special brother, Adam Stephens and wife, Karen, all of Stearns, Kentucky; mother and father in law, Ronald and Shirley Hamlin of Pine Knot, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; several fellow coworkers, fellow fireman, and a host of numerous family and friends that Pooh loved dearly.
