Obituary for Barbara Moody
Barbara Ball Moody passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Bailey Center Community Hospice in St. Augustine, Florida and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 6, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with
Bro. Hap Strunk officiating.. Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.
She was born September 23, 1942, in McCreary County to Ben Ball and Elsie Vanover Ball. Barbara was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and dancing, and most importantly to her was spending time with family. She loved to have fun and laugh. Barb was known as persistent, determined, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Hobert Ball, and sisters, Sadie Wright, Dessie Stewart, Ruth Wright, and Beulah Keys,, and daughter-in-law, Sandra Strunk.
Survivors include husband, Don Moody, children, Gwendolyn Gamel, and husband, Jeff, Jeffrey Strunk, and wife, Freda, Charles Edward “Chuck” Strunk, Michael Ray Moody, Donald Allen Moody, and wife, Amanda, and Kevin Charles Moody, brothers, Alfred Ball, David Ball, Bennie Ball, and wife, Judy, and James Ball, and wife, Teresa, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
