Obituary for Beatrice Perkins (Ball)

Beatrice Perkins, age 92 years, 7 months, and 16 days, passed away Friday, March 27, 2020 her home in Revelo.

Funeral services were held Monday, March 30, 2020 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial was in the Anderson Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky.

She was born August 11, 1927 in McCreary County to William Edward Ball and Martha Martin Ball. Beatrice was a member of the Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church and loved going to church. She was very talented and enjoyed singing and playing music and was a charter member of the McCreary Gospel Singers. Beatrice had also used her talents to make cornshuck flowers and basket for Kentucky Hills.
She was very fond of gardening and canning and especially quilting.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Estel Perkins whom she married February 21, 1948, brothers, Norman Ball, Dillard Ball, Willard Ball, and Fred Ball, sisters, Reatha Ball, Truie Mae Jones and Letha Hamlin, a grandson, Terry Anderson, and a great grandson, Zerek Slaven.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Sue Anderson of Revelo, a sister, Minnie Ellen Dailey of Ekron, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Sherry Anderson, Dwight Anderson and his wife, Rachel and Dwayne Anderson and his wife, Trina, great grandchildren, Zachary Slaven and Stephanie, Seth Anderson and Kortney, Zane Slaven and Emily, Jacob Anderson, Luke Anderson, and Kaden Anderson, great great grandchildren, Zyler Slaven and Sulivanne Slaven and sisters-in-law, Mae Ball and Frances Ball.
