Obituary for Benny Ballou

Benny Ballou, age 92 years, 5 months, and 6 days, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2020 at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Landon Sexton officiating. Burial was in the Barren Fork Cemetery.

He was born September 7, 1927 in Indian Head, Kentucky to Walter and Eva (Strunk) Ballou. Benny enjoyed woodworking,hunting, fishing,gardening and working in his yard. He enjoyed wildlife and also had a dog Cricket that he loved. Benny was a WWII veteran. He served in the Army from 1944 until 1948. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Preceding him in death are his spouses Okla Ree Ballou, and Peggy Jean Ballou and a daughter, Yvonne Ballou Breeden. Also a grandson, Michael Brandon Ballou.

Survivors include sons, Parker Ballou of Harrison, Ohio, and Walter Ballou, also of Harrison Ohio, a daughter, Peggy Ashcraft of Cincinnati, Ohio, stepchildren, Allen and Joyce, and a sister, Sue and her husband Jim Bryant of Tennessee. He had 2 brothers and 1 sister that has preceded him in death. He had numerous neices and nephews. His grandchildren are, Ronnie, Travis, Tiffany, Tabatha, Lindsey and Benjamin. His great grandchildren are Olivia, Liam, and Colton. He was loved and enjoyed spending time with his family.
