Obituary for Betty Lee Hammock (Bryant)
Betty Lee Hammock, age 65 years, 7 months, and 3 days, of Whitley City, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Christian Funeral Services were conducted on Saturday July 24, in the chapel of the Hickman- Strunk
Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Neely's Creek Cemetery.
She was born December 17, 1955 to Dewey Bryant and Martha Murphy Bryant. Betty had worked as a CNA with home health in Elk Valley, Tennessee and had been a baker at Kroger. Betty was fighter, having survived thyroid cancer twice, ovarian cancer, and a stroke that resulted in the loss of her legs. Her faith is what helped her overcome her struggles.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Leslie Hammock, and brothers, Marvin, Lewis, and Delmer Bryant.
Survivors include a son, Joshua Dustin Lee Hammock, brothers, Dillard Bryant, Bobby Bryant, Darrell Bryant and his wife, Judy, four stepchildren, numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
