Obituary for Betty Sue Whitehead
Betty Sue Whitehead, age 75, of Whitley City, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born December 17, 1947, in Whitley City, Kentucky, to Luther Whitehead and Elsie Coffey. Betty Sue was a member of the Whitley City First Baptist Church in which she was very active and a member of the choir. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was an avid reader.
Preceding her in death were her parents, and brothers, Harold Whitehead and Luther Whitehead, Jr.
Survivors include brother, Howard Whitehead, sister Kathryn Greer, cousins, Roger, and wife, Rita Anderson, and Robert, and wife, Jocelyne Anderson, and several nieces and nephews.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Betty Sue Whitehead.
