Obituary for Carol Ann Creekmore (Stephens)

Carol Creekmore, age 83, of Whitley City, passed away Wednesday, February 14th, 2024, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral Services were held Sunday, February 18th, 2024, at 2:00pm in the Chapel of the Hickman Strunk Funeral Home. The family received friends from 11:00am until the funeral hour. Entombment will follow in the family mausoleum in Pine Knot Cemetery.

Carol was born on January 11th, 1941, in Tampa, FL. to Raymond and Opal (Garland) Stephens. Carol worked and retired as a teacher’s aide at McCreary County Schools. She was a member of the Whitley City Second Baptist Church and enjoyed spending her time with her family. She was an accomplished seamstress. She also enjoyed farming, travelling, and playing cards. Above all she was loving and outgoing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, John Bradley, and Garry Creekmore, four brothers, Bill, R.L., Ed, and Roger, and one sister, Mary Ann Martin.

She is survived by her four sons, John Bradley and his wife Nina of Whitley City, David Bradley of Whitley City, Dirk Bradley and his wife Lois of Whitley City, and Paron Creekmore of Somerset, KY, one daughter Brandy Perkins and her husband Jason of Strunk, two brothers, Mike Stephens of Whitley City, and Mark Stephens of Marshes Siding, two sisters, Brenda Martin of Pine Knot, and Marilyn Hansford and her husband Harold, of Marshes Siding, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
