Obituary for Dale Kidd
Dale Kidd, age 69 years, and 21 days, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky, and was taken into the care of the Hickman- Strunk funeral home.
Christian Funeral Services were held Thursday October 22, 2020 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Silerville Cemetery.
He was born September 28, 1951 in Revelo, Kentucky to the late Roosevelt Kidd and Anna Mae Angel Kidd, but was raised by Cloy and Katherine Taylor, whom he also considered parents. Dale was a member of Kinne-Slaven Post 115 American Legion. He was an excellent musician and song writer who enjoyed playing classic rock and classic country. He enjoyed collecting antiques, especially antique clocks and restoring them. An excellent mechanic, he once built a motorcycle from miscellaneous parts. He attended Taylor Ridge Baptist Church and New Liberty Baptist church. He loved spending quality time with his family.
Survivors include a son, Brandon Kidd and his wife, Chandal, of Strunk, Kentucky, two daughters, Lisa Smith and her husband, Jimmy, of Stunk, Kentucky and Crystal Jones and her husband, Stuart, of Oneida, Tennessee, two brothers, David Kidd of South Carolina and Wayne Kidd and wife, Debbie, of Morgantown, Kentucky, the mother of his children, Kay Kidd, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Cloy and Katherine Taylor, and grandparents, George and Hazel Angel
