David B. West, age 71 years, 1 month, and 3 days, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away Thursday, October 5, 2017 in Mount Vernon, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Inman officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
He was born September 2, 1946 in Stearns, Kentucky to Alfred West and Rita Sumner West. David had worked for Oscar Worley Enterprises in the construction industry before his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, cooking, laundry, and keeping house. But his favorite time was spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, sons, Shawn Waters and Wayne West, brother, Danny West, and sisters, Wanda Stanford and Betty Colston.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa West, whom he married May 10, 1983, sons, Jeremy Hamlin of Stearns, Kentucky and Jamie West of Revelo, Kentucky, daughter, Shelly West of Pine Knot, Kentucky, sisters, Iva Dean Cox and her husband, Jim, and Pam Duncan and her husband, Jim, all of Stearns, Kentucky, and grandchildren, Tristan West, Alexandria West, Kaylee West, Bryson West, Shyann West, Austin West, and Jordan Wilson.
