Obituary for Edward Donald Meadows
Edward Meadows, age 79 years, 11 months and 25 days, of Marshes Siding, passed away Thursday March 14, 2019.
In keeping with his wishes, he was cremated. The family will conduct a memorial service at a later date.
Ed was born March 17, 1939 in McCreary County to Andrew Meadows and Reba Leveridge Meadows. He was a US Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 115 where had served as past Post Commander. Ed made his living as a mason until his retirement. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing music and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Reba Leveridge Meadows, his wife, Dee Meadows, brother Seldon "Duke" Meadows, and two sisters, Jeanette Jones and Betty Smith.
Survivors inclue his daughters Anita (Dewayne) Cooper, Rhonda Armijo (Ray), two stepsons, TJ and Justin Smith, six grandchildren, Michael Bryant, Dustin Cooper, Benjamin and Xander Armijo, Mackenzie and Emilia Smith, three great grandchildren, Nicholas, Brooklyn and Nathan Bryant, five brothers, Bill, Jim, Wayne, Charlie and David Meadows, and a very special sister-in-law, Anita Childers.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the family.
