Tilda Evalee Duncan, age 88 years, 2 months, and 2 days, widow of James P. Duncan Jr., passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Signature Health Care in Pine Knot, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 5, 2022, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Corder and Bro. Jason Kates officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born November 30, 1933, in Oz, Kentucky, to Virgil Lewis and Minnie Ethel Jones Lewis. Evalee was a retired cook for the McCreary County School System and also worked at the Parkland Motel. She enjoyed listening to music, word search puzzles, going camping, going to the uptown opry and coal miner’s jamboree, and spending time with family.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, James P. Duncan Jr, brothers, James Pete Lewis, Charles Lewis, Eston Lewis, Virgil “Pap” Lewis, Larry Chapman Lewis, and Loyd Lewis, sisters, Fayrene, Lela, Mildred, Joyce and Othea “T”.
Survivors include sons, James Ray Duncan, (Pam), and Robert Lee “Buzz Duncan, (Carol), daughter, Tammy Duncan, sisters, Nelda Martin, Carolyn Heibert, and Ella Mae Smith, grandchildren, Lori Duncan, Robbie Duncan, (Wendy), Hannah Colbeth, (Kyle), Rosie Colbeth, and Billy J.
