Obituary for Eveleen Coffey (Dobbs)
Eveleen Coffey, age 73, wife of George Allen Coffey for 55 years, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at her home in Stearns, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
Eveleen was born on November 26, 1946 in the Rattlesnake Ridge Community of Stearns to Gurstle and Clovie Dobbs. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge United Baptist Church and she worked at the Stearns Shirt factory and had owned her own store, Coffey's Grocery. Eveleen and her husband were married on April 20, 1964. She enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her beloved family, especially her great grand baby.
She is survived by: her husband; two daughters, Beverley Kay Terry and her husband Raymond of Stearns, Barbara Duncan and her husband Hilton of Stearns; two brothers, Donald Dobbs and his wife Kathy of Stearns, Victory Dobbs and his wife Lois of Mishawaka, Indiana; a sister, Sue Coffey and husband Donald of Stearns; a sister in law, Linda Dobbs; three grandchildren, Daniel Duncan and wife Megan, Brittany Pierce and husband Jared, Heather Clark and husband Cole; one great grandchild, David Duncan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Eveleen is preceded in death by: her parents; and one brother, Jimmy Dale Dobbs.
