Obituary for Fred Clark Sr.
Fred Clark Sr., age 85 years, 4 months, 7 days, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. George Allen Coffey officiating. Burial was in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
Fred was born in the Slavans Community of McCreary County on May 26, 1935 to the late John Bolen Clark and the late Luvada Vaughn Clark. He married his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Cale) Clark, on February 6, 1961. Fred was a former coal miner and was a retired custodian. Fred enjoyed fishing, watching westerns on TV, and spending time with his beloved family, especially his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter in law, Twanna Sue Roberts Clark; several siblings; and grandchildren, David Wayne Murphy and Skyler West Clark.
Fred is survived by a large host of loving family, including: his wife; sons, Raymond B. Clark of Parker’s Lake, Fred Clark Jr. of Stearns, William De-Lin Clark of Stearns, and Ronald West Clark of Stearns; daughters, Linda Gregory (husband Scott) of Stearns and Sarah Ruth Woodrum of Whitley City; a special granddaughter, Tammy Lanter; sixteen grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
