Gordon Lee Heath Sr. of Odenville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born to Herman and Maggie Heath on September 5th, 1941. He was 82 years old. He is preceded in death by his parent’s, his sister Mildred Gibson, brother Columbus Heath and his best friend and wife of 58 years, Sue Heath…
Gordon is survived by his sons, G Lee Heath Jr. (Sondra), Wesley Shannon Heath (Connie); daughter Anita Heath Rhodes (Byron), brothers, Lonnie Heath (Reba), Hoyt Heath (Sue), Donnie Heath (Faye), and Cecil Heath; His sister’s Lorene Heath, Mary Heath, and Annie Stephens. Grandchildren, Jessica Heath, Jordan Heath (Tiffany), Hannah Falkner (Patrick), Bryant Nichols and Skyler Heath; great grandchildren Emery Elizabeth Heath and Allen Scott Falkner also many other special family members, nieces & nephews that he was proud of and loved dearly…
He was born in Kentucky and the oldest of ten children. He dearly loved his Kentucky family and friends. He joined the army as soon as he was of age and made a 24 year career out of it. He served in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an E8 Master Sargent when he retired. He also made a career in the postal service for 20 years before he retired from it as well. He was a loving brother, father and Pawpaw and enjoyed his time with all of his family. He will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Kilgroe Funeral Home beginning at 1:00PM with a memorial service to follow at 2:00PM.
