Obituary for Harley Edward Jones
Obituary of Harley E. Jones: Harley Edward Jones, 86, of Corbin, Kentucky and formerly of Louisville, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022 at his home.
A Corbin native, he was a son of the late Ed W. and Effie Howard Jones. Harley was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the General Electric Co. He was a Baptist and had been a Mason. He enjoyed the outdoors - especially hunting and fishing. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty J. McCowan Jones on December 23, 1990. They were married on April 28, 1961.Harley is survived by a brother, R. Howard "Cotton" Jones and wife Betty of Pine Knot, a sister, Shirley Ann Howard of Louisville, and five nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted Thursday, August 4th at Pine Hill Cemetery with Rev. Albert Jones officiating. Military honors were performed by the American Legion Post 88 Honor Guard.
