Hazel Vaughn Perry, age 73 years and 6 days, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Friday, February 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
She was born January 23, 1944 in the Bald Knob community of McCreary County to Hobert Vaughn and Truie Waters Vaughn. Hazel was a retired waitress and a member of the East Appletree United Baptist Church. Hazel enjoyed crafting at the Horizon Adult Day Center and attending functions at the Senior Citizens Center.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a son, Steven Lawrence Perry.
Survivors include her children, Jeannie Echo Perry of New York and Gordon Wilson Perry of Pine Knot, brother, Rev. Samuel Vaughn and his wife, Debbie, of Sebring, Florida, sisters, Ella Mae King and her husband, Noel, of Revelo, Kentucky, Lois Ann Rapp and her husband, Ken, of Richmond, Kentucky, and Jeanette Worley and her husband, Willard, of Stearns, Kentucky, grandchildren, Brandy Annette Moore, William Perry, Jonathon Perry, Patience Perry, Sarah Perry, Jesse Perry, and Jason Perry and several great grandchildren.
