Mildred Helen Freeman, age 80 years and 2 days passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2020 in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Morrow officiating. Burial was in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
She was born May 25, 1937 in the Nevelsville community to Luther H. Morrow and Dorothy New Morrow. Helen was a member of the Walkers Chapel Baptist Church and had been employed with the Kroger Company before her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed music, especially singing, and was huge Elvis fan.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Donald Freeman, and brothers, Kelly Morrow and Herb Morrow.
Survivors include a son, James Freeman and his wife, Michelle, of Milford, Ohio, brothers, Larry Morrow and his wife, Mary Jane, of Somerset, Bennie “Pete” Garland and his wife, Sherri, of Russell Springs, and Estes Morrow of Georgia, a sister, Wanda Nevels and her husband, Silas, of Danville, and grandchildren, Jesse and Zack.
