Obituary for Helen Ball Pierce (York)
Helen Ball Pierce, 85, formerly of Whitley City, passed away Tuesday, December 12th, 2023, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Born January 26, 1938, in the Fidelity community to the late Mack Thomas York and Electia Stephens York, Helen worked for the McCreary County Schools Central Office. She was a member of Mallard Point Baptist Church in Georgetown.
Twice widowed, she was preceded in death by husbands, Warren Pierce and Donald Ball. She is survived by her brother Jim (Elva) York, two daughters Penney (Tim) Pierce and Donna (Dale) Brewer, two grandsons Christopher Collings and Tyler (Madison) Pierce, and one great- granddaughter Delayla Rose Ann Pierce, and several nieces and nephews.
An inurnment ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, 6980 Danville Rd, Nicholasville, KY 40356, with officiant Pastor Christopher Dotson. Donations in her memory are suggested for the Southern Cross Boston Terrier Rescue P.O. Box 3756, Jackson, TN, 38301, or the Mallard Point Baptist Church, 3580 Cincinnati Rd, Georgetown, KY, 40324.
