Condolences

Condolence From: Sam D. Perry
Condolence: Jack Koger was a man deeply concerned with the general welfare of all McCreary Countians, but he had a special place in his heart for veterans, especially combat vets. Although he never served himself, he always supported us and went out of his way to show his appreciation for our service. By his deeds, he proved himself to be a true patriot and became our comrade in spirit. I am sure that I speak for all the members of Charles E. Moore Post 5127, Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, by saying Thank You, Jack. You did good.

Condolence From: Adam Phillips
Condolence: This is very sad. I have considered Jack a friend for several years and I know he will be greatly missed by many. I can remember all the good he has done for others and the community in general. Working with Jack on McCrearyFest/WinterFest, Jack put in a lot time and effort on these events and as Santa for kids each year. He wanted to offer a chance for kids with disabilities to ride in the parade with Santa each year. He was a driving force behind the creation of the Banquet of Blessings, a free Christmas dinner for those in need. These are just a few of the things Jack did for the community and for others. Again, he will be greatly missed and was a great man.
