Jerry L. Jones, 62, of Colona, passed away, Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Genesis Medical Center, Silvis.
Cremation rites have been accorded. No services will be held at this time. Memorials may be made to Gift of Hope or Heart Association. Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline is assisting the family.
Jerry was born on February 24, 1958, in Somerset, KY, the son of Herbert and Alma (Crisp) Jones. He married Angela Lynn Calhoon on June 17, 2000 in London, KY. He worked for NAPA Auto Parts for over 40 years, the last 20 years he has worked as a manager at NAPA Auto Parts, Geneseo until he retired in October 2019. Jerry loved traveling and enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcats Basketball. He loved spending time with the family, especially his grandchildren. Jerry was an organ donor through Gift of Hope. His selfless last act will help many in need.
Survivors include his wife, children, Jessica (Russ) Wright, Bethpage, TN, Jade (Shawn) Cotton, Le Clair, IA, Joe (Melody) Jones, KY, Luke Davis (East Moline), Samantha Copeland, Denver, CO; grandchildren, Layla Davis, Charlie Wright, Leola Cotton, Archer Cotton, Percy Wright; siblings, Trish Roy, Pine Knot, KY, and Herbert (Ruth) Jones Jr., Sarasota, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Boyce Jones, Harold Jones, and Jim Roy.
