Juanita Richie age 90 years, 11 months, and 10 days of Nancy, Kentucky, formerly of McCreary County, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Jean Waddle Care Center, Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
Memorial services were held Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hap Strunk officiating.
She was born October 31, 1923 in McCreary County, Kentucky to Frank Cooper and Kizzie (Winchester) Cooper. Juanita was a member of the Whitley City Methodist Church. She a member of the Adult Literacy Program and taught for 13 years. Juanita was also a member of the hiking club.
Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Leland Richie, brothers, Quentin, Wilburn, Conward, Ernest, Evertt, and Theopolis Cooper, and sisters, Grace King and Zora King.
Survivors include her sisters, Gladys Hicks of Whitley City, Kentucky and Joyce Strunk of Ten Mile, Tennessee; a special caregiver, Teresa Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.
Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Ms. Juanita Richie.
