Obituary for Lawrence Ervin Jones
Lawrence E. Jones, age 75 years, 4 months, and 4 days, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2020 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Wayne Inman officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.
He was born Tuesday, July 24, 1945 in Yamacraw to Johnnie Jones and Ada Inman Jones. Lawrence served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War where he earned the rank of Corporal. He enjoyed family gatherings and being outdoors.
Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Oscar Jones, and sisters, Imogene Perry, and Phyllis Jones.
Survivors include two brothers, Clarence Jones, and wife, Shelia, and Arnold Jones, and wife, Barbara Sue, four sisters, Ella Mae Matthews, and husband, Cecil, Pat Strunk, and husband, Dale, Judy Morgan, and Karen Bruce, and several nieces and nephews.
