Obituary for Lena Dunsmore
Lena Dunsmore, age 84 years, 5 months, and 6 days, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020, at the Williamsburg Nursing & Rehab in Williamsburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Hap Strunk officiating. Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.
Lena was born August 13, 1935 in Rockholds, Kentucky to Elmer and Dora (Thomas) Widener. Lena was a homemaker, and was also a proud member of Whitley City First Baptist Church. Lena enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, and family gatherings.
Preceding her in death are her parents, an infant son, Charles Elmer Dunsmore, her brother, Raymond Widener, and her sister, Jean Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Dunsmore, whom she married September 17, 1949, two daughters, Kathy Wright and her husband, Allen, of Pine Knot, Wanda Meadows, and her husband, David, of Georgetown, Kentucky, her brother, Charles Widener, and his wife, Opal, of Corbin, Kentucky, her sister, Nadine Bortz, of Somerset, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Derrick, Kaitlen, Tristan, and three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Madelyn, and Charlotte.
