Leonard Weaver Ridener, age 74 years, 6 months, and 9 days, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home in Marshes Siding, Kentucky and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were conducted in the South chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Daniel Ridener officiating on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 1:00pm EST. Interment was in the Carter Cemetery on Lick Creek Road in Marshes Siding, Kentucky.
Leonard was born in Sawyer, Kentucky on Monday, April 1, 1946 to the late Wiley “Yank” Ridener and the late Elsie May (Perkins) Ridener. Leonard attended college at the Michigan State University and was a retired truck driver. He also owned Leonard’s Appliance Repair and had worked in management at Kingsford Charcoal. Leonard was a member of the Marshes Siding Church of God. He enjoyed antique cars and playing music, as he was an accomplished guitar and banjo player
He is preceded in death by: his parents; one son, Wayne Ridener; one granddaughter, Allison Hope Coffey two brothers, Cecil Ridener and Karl Ridener; two sisters, Cindy Ridener, and Geneva Ridener.
Leonard is survived by a large host of loving family, including: one daughter, Rhonda Coffey (husband Tony) of Whitley City; the mother of his children, Sue Ridener; four grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
