Obituary for Lester Ball Jr.
Lester Ball Jr., age 74 years, 2 months, and 23 days, husband of Tammy Chitwood Ball, passed away Friday, September 10,2021 at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Jones Cemetery.
He was born June 18, 1947 in Stearns, Kentucky to Lester Ball Sr. and Nina Ledbetter Ball. Lester was a Vietnam Army Veteran and was awarded the bronze star during his service. He was a member of the Taylor Ridge Baptist Church and enjoyed traveling, watching drag racing, and spending time outdoors.
Preceding him in death were his parents, two sisters, Louise Glover and Shirley Ball, and brothers, Kenneth, Clyde, Delbert, Bobby, and Roger.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Ball, two sons, Allan Ball, and wife, Jenny, and Roger Ball, two stepsons, Robbie Ball, and wife, Tammy, and Christopher Erbaugh, and wife, Chrissy, daughter, Rachaelle Manor, and husband, Michael, stepdaughter, Jami Dickerson, and husband, Joe, a brother, Clarence Ball, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
