Obituary for Logan Ross

Logan Ross, age 86 years, 8 months, and 5 days, of Strunk passed away February 8, 2021 in Cincinnati.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Sewell officiating. Burial was in the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens.

He was born June 3, 1934 in Strunk, Kentucky to Ned Ross and Maude King Ross. Logan was always a hard worker and started at an early age. At the age of 14 or 15 he and his brother, Rubin, started their own sawmill. He later moved to Oregon working in the timber industry for 18 months. Logan was a truck driver, driving for Dixie Transport and then moving to Cincinnati where he drove for Roadway Express. He was a member of the Ross Grove Baptist Church, a member of the Orie S. Ware Lodge #874 F&AM in Stearns, Scottish Rite and Syrian Shrine of Cincinnati. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing softball in his younger days, raising cows, and making jokes and telling stories to anyone who would listen.

Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers, Wilburn, Osborn, Burdell, and Conrad Ross, and a sister, Lillian Litton.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Helen Ross, a son, Jon (Sherry) Ross, daughters, Kim Robards and Amy (Bob) Zbacnik; grandchildren: Erin (Ryan) Hayhow, Timothy (Loren) Ross, Jordyn King, Susan Robards (Lee Croft), Sarah Robards, Daniel (Lindsay) Robards, Mary (TJ) Hizer and Melissa (Quentin) Russell, great grandchildren: Mya, Brooke, Ben, Nora, Logan, Cori, Claire, Nolan, Nico, Jocelyn, and Eric, and brothers, Charles Ross and Rubin Ross.
