Obituary for Mike Heth
James Michael Heth, age 51 years, 10 months, and 2 days passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022 in Suwannee, Georgia and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 2:30 pm at the Methodist Cemetery with Bro. Steven Jones officiating.
Mike was born December 16, 1970 in Lexington, Kentucky to James Peyton Heth and Wanda Abbott Heth. He attended Fayette County Schools from grades 1 through 12, graduating from Henry Clay High School n 1989. Mike attended Lexington Community College and received an associates degree from Spencerian College in 1999 with top honors. In 2007, he received a bachelor’s degree from III Tech in Internet Security Systems Administration. Mike worked for the Lexington Herald-Leader, Rockwell Collins in Iowa as an anti-collision systems engineer on airplanes, Jabil, AOL, Tampa Light and Electric and with IBM in Atlanta from 2007-2022. Mike enjoyed reading, computer games, and was an avid University of Kentucky sports fan. He also loved traveling, going to Disney World, and spending time with family.
Survivors include his parents, a sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Lyman Martin, two nieces, Alyssa Samons and Cassidy Martin, two aunts, two uncles, and many cousins.
