Obituary for Mildred "Midge" Kelley (Miller)

Mildred (Midge) Miller Kelly, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, Florida, being 88 years, 10 months, two weeks, and 2 days old. In accordance with her wishes she was cremated with her remains to be placed in Pine Knot Cemetery at a later date.

Born on March 13, 1933, in Strunk, Kentucky to Ernest and Lona Foster Miller, Mildred attended local elementary schools and Pine Knot High School. She worked in various capacities including as the owner/operator of the Pine Knot Café, in office administration for Dixie Transport and Nationwide Trucking School, and as residential property manager in Covington, Kentucky. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Matron at Ft. Thomas Chapter 269 (Kentucky). After retiring to Florida, Mildred often volunteered her time to various organizations helping others. She also enjoyed walking on the beach, I Love Lucy reruns, and visiting with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and father of her children Eldred Z. King, husband Ray Tester, husband George Kelly, son Gerald Wayne King, grandson Christopher Wayne King, brother Robert Miller, sisters Pauline Williams and Thelma Miller, and daughter-in-law Debra King.

Mildred is survived by her son Chuck King of Stearns, and daughter Judy Chaney (Phil). She is survived by grandchildren Lindsey Musgrove (Lucian), Richard King, Russell King (Amber Chapman), Robert King (Sarah), Kent Chaney, Conley Chaney (Tara), and Kelli Chaney Latham (Daniel), and great-grandchildren Abigail Musgrove, Caleb Musgrove, Kameron King, Kaden King, Jacob King, Harrison Chaney, Lucinda Chaney, Calvin Chaney, Sage Chaney, Tripp Strunk, and little stinker Ryder Latham. She is also survived by two sisters Flonnie Murphy and Mary Worley (Lonnie).

Mildred will be greatly missed by family and friends who loved her dearly.
