Patsy Jones age 80 years, 10 months, and 8 days of Stearns, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Randall Meadows and Bro. David Troxell officiating. Burial followed in the Rock Springs Cemetery.
She was born March 21, 1934 in Co-Operative, Kentucky to Wilburn Winchester and Maudie (Young) Winchester. Patsy was a member of the Pleasant Rock United Baptist Church. She was well known in the community for being the owner of the Shady Lane Restaurant, which she and her husband, Brock, operated for 20 years. Patsy enjoyed travelling, camping, and RVing. She also enjoyed spending time and caring for her family. Patsy was a hard working, Christian wife and mother.
Preceding her in death are her parents; her sons, Robert and Jerry Jones; a brother, Johnny Randall "Sonny" Winchester; a grandson, Brock Dewayne Jones; a great-grandson, Lucas Troxell; and a brother-in-law, Jim Wingate.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Brock Jones, whom she married, October 25, 1949; her daughter, Linda Vaughn and husband, Doug; daughters-in-law, Hazel Jones and Shanna Jones, all of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters, Shirley Waters and husband, Brad, of Strunk, Kentucky, Barbara Wingate of Ohio, and Brenda Caudill and husband, Bill, of Oil Springs, Kentucky; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
