Obituary for Rev. Clarence Edward Neal

Rev. Clarence Neal, who was the former Assistant Pastor of New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, and pastored Living Word Missionary Baptist Church, and Riverside Missionary Baptist church, who served in churches for almost 60 yrs, was called home to be with the Lord on May 11, 2022.

The husband to the love of his life Georgia Neal for over 61 yrs. and the father to Roger (Lynn) Neal Sr. and Jeff Neal, Grandfather to Roger (Sophia) Neal Jr., Chelsea (Todd) Brueggemann, and Bianca (Nick) Skipper.

Clarence led countless souls to the lord, mentored many young preachers, and spent his entire adult life, preaching the gospel! Clarence worked at General Motors in Norwood, and Dayton Ohio during his 31 yrs. with the car manufacturer.

Clarence was loved by his family, Clarence leaves behind brothers Alvin (Brenda) Neal of Somerset, Ky & Jerry Neal of Whitley City Ky. Two sisters Jean Barnett of Whitley City, Ky and Shirley Sizemore of Pine Knot, Ky. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of extended church family.

Clarence was born on September 28, 1941, in Whitley City, Ky to the late Estil and Macie Neal of Tateville, Ky. He had a total of 11 brothers and sisters.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Estil and Macie Neal, brothers, Roy, Turner, Burt, Hershal, Johnny and David Neal and sisters Julie Roberts, and Versa Gingrich. Also, preceding him are his grandparents Pearlie and William Turner Neal, & Samuel and Ann Vanover. Clarence was loved by many people.

Friends will be received from 5 PM to 8 PM on Monday, May 16 at New Haven Missionary Baptist Church, 2417 Indian Mound Ave., Norwood, OH., where services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, May 17.

A graveside service will be held at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, May 17 at Grave Hill Cemetery, Burnside, KY..

Pastor Roger Grammer and Pastor Mike Raines will be the minister's for Bro. Neal's services.

Pallbearers for Rev. Clarence Neal are: Jeff Neal, Nick Skipper, Roger Neal Sr., Tim Barnett, Malachi Barnett, Roger Neal Jr., Darren Neal and Alvin Neal.
