Age 80 of Newcomb, Tennessee passed away Sunday, July 02, 2023, at his daughter's home in Jacksboro, Tennessee. He was born May 28, 1943, in Scott County, Tennessee. Jerry was a Minister for 46 years and the Pastor of Brick Plant Church of God for over 29 years and also the Overseer of the General Assembly for 13 years. Jerry was a true man of God and a Pastor to the community, always helping when needed at numerous churches over the years. "Well done, good and faithful servant"

Sons: Jerry Yancey, Jr., Douglas Yancey, Sr.
Father: Milford Yancey
Mother: Gertie (Douglas) Yancey
Brother: Robert Lee Yancey, Sr.

Son: Michael Yancey & wife Laura
Daughters: Terry Yancey, Genia Yancey, Jessica Hatfield & husband Verlin, Myala Yancey, Shelby Lowe & husband Tristan
Special Granddaughter: Felicia Tackett & husband Richard
Sixteen Grandchildren & Twelve Great Grandchildren
Brothers: Rev. Larry Yancey & wife Sue, Bill Yancey

Funeral Services Thursday, July 06, 2023, 8 p.m. at Harp Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Junior Dople and Rev. Hunter Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday before funeral services. Family and friends will meet Friday, July 07, 2023, 10 a.m. at Harp Funeral Home and proceed to Valley View Cemetery (Pioneer, Tennessee) for 11 a.m. Graveside Service.
