Rinda Marie “Sissy” Daugherty, age 59, of Burnside passed away Sunday at her home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Round Top United Baptist Church. Burial was in the Daugherty-Taylor Cemetery.
She was born March 29, 1960 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Hobert Daugherty and Martha Dixon Daugherty Taylor. Sissy attended Round Top United Baptist Church and was always very active. She attended Quest and Active Day Care where she told everyone she went to school and earned her Doctorate. Sissy was a member of the Order of the Honorable Kentucky Colonels, was a Scout Leader for Boy Scout Troop 81 in Burnside, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 582 in Burnside, and the Family Support Group for the Army National Guard in Somerset. She loved to collect I Love Lucy memorabilia.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her stepfather, Norman Taylor, a brother, Kelvin Lee Daugherty, and a sister, Jeanny Emmaline Daugherty.
Survivors include brothers, James E. Daugherty of Strunk, Larry Wayne Daugherty and his wife, Mary Ann, of Bronston, and Danny Daugherty and his wife, Chrystal, of Somerset, and sisters, Mary Daugherty and Barbara Slavey and her husband, Wayne, of Strunk, and Betsey Brake and her husband, Gerald, of Burnside.
