Obituary for Sandra Ann Manning
Sandra A. Lindsay Manning, of Somerset, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born on July 12, 1938, to the late Robert D. Lindsay and Faye Marie Coffey.
She was united in marriage to Conley Manning, 66 years ago, on June 8, 1957, in Whitley City, Kentucky.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Stuart (Beverly) Manning; one daughter, Jennifer (Dennis) Tindle; three grandchildren, Devan (Randall) Smith, Grant Tindle and Douglas Manning; one great grandson, Lawson Brooks Smith. Also surviving are one sister, Judith (Harry) Shepherd and one brother, Bill Sanderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and one brother, Don Lindsay.
During her high school years, she worked at Burgess Drug Store in Whitley City, Kentucky. Later in life, she worked for Investors Heritage Insurance Company, Frankfort, Kentucky. She served faithfully in many ways, including working in the nursery for several years at Memorial Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky and Somerset First Baptist Church.
Above all, and to her enjoyment, she was a loving, devoted, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Somerset. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Ryan Coffey and Bro. David Pendley officiating.
Sandra will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at the Pine Knot Cemetery in McCreary County.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Childrens Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Somerset, 128 North Main Street Somerset, Kentucky 42501.
