Obituary for Shanda Kay Wilson
Shanda Kay Wilson, age 65, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 2:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial was in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Shanda was born in Somerset, Kentucky on August 31, 1954 to Clyde Wilson and Lena (Boyatt) Wilson. She graduated from McCreary County High School in the spring of 1972. Shanda was a member of the Old Beech Grove United Baptist Church in Cooperative, Kentucky. During her free time, Shanda loved spending time with her family, watching her nieces and nephews, caring for her dog, and baking.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Janice Wilson.
Shanda is survived by two brothers, Denver Wilson and his wife, Janet, of Stearns, Terry Wilson and his wife, Belinda, of Marshes Siding, one sister, Anna Wilson, of Corbin, Kentucky, nieces, Kesha Wilson, of Marshes Siding, Kaitlyn Wilson, of Marshes Siding, and Michelle Kidd and her husband, Randy, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, nephews, Tyler Wilson, of Marshes Siding and Preston King and his wife, Dawn, of Marshes Siding, great nephews, Cody King and Liam Kidd; and a great niece, Laney Kidd.
