Teresa Gail West, age 65 years, 6 months, and 24 days of Stearns, passed away Friday at her home and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Baird and Bro. Malachi Barnett officiating. Burial followed in the Angel Cemetery.

She was born September 15, 1956, in Jellico, Tennessee to Arless Lawson and Geneva Cornelius Lawson. Teresa was a member of the East Pine Knot Tabernacle Church of God. She enjoyed going to church, reading her bible, and listening to King of Kings Radio. Teresa also enjoyed tending to her flowers. She spent her life caring and doing for others and always put others before herself. Teresa and David were well known for their talent for painting homes and businesses in the area, she had many hobbies and jobs throughout her life but her favorite one of all was being a mother. She loved spending time with her beloved family.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, David West, son, Shawn Waters, stepson, Wayne West, brothers, Robert Lawson and Jimmy Lawson, and sisters, Sandy Trammell and Opal Lawson.

Survivors include son, Jeremy Hamlin, stepson, Jamie West, stepdaughter, Shelley West, brother, Dale Lawson, sister in-law, Margie Lawson, sisters, Brenda Lawson Murray, and Glenda Franks, and step grandchildren, Jordan, Bryson, and Cheyenne.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Teresa Gail West.
