Obituary for Wanda Braden (Davis)
Wanda Lou Braden, age 72 years, 6 months, and 24 days of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020 in Somerset, Kentucky and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 21, 2020 at 12:00 pm at the Bethel Cemetery.
She was born May 23, 1948 in Parkers Lake to Raymond and Maxine Davis. Wanda was a member of the Upper Marsh Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church and visiting with her church family. She loved birdwatching and was always mindful to keep her bird feeders full. In her spare time, Wanda enjoyed word search puzzles and listening to bluegrass gospel music. The thing she most enjoyed was spending time with her family.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Lois.
Survivors include her husband, J.D. Braden, whom she married June 10, 1967, sons, Tim Braden and his wife, Christine, of Whitley City and Allen Braden of Pine Knot, daughters, Regina Smith and her husband, John, of Winfield and Pamela Dick and her husband, Bobby, of Bronston, a brother, Eddie Davis of Somerset, sisters, Anna Keith of Somerset, Lana Helton and her husband, Pete, Carol Wood and her husband, Gene, and Norma Swegman, all of Indiana, eleven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
