Mildred Virginia "Midge" Lewis Davis age 81 years, 4 months, and 19 days, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2012 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Anderson officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery. She was born March 31, 1931 in Shoopman, Kentucky to Virgil "Pete" Lewis and Minnie Ethel Jones Lewis. Midge was a member of the Wolf Ridge United Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed playing rummy, watching television, and especially spending time with her family. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, Paul L. Davis, whom she married in 1948, two brothers, Lloyd Cecil Lewis and Charles E. Lewis and two sisters, Lelia Kidd and Fayrene Lewis. Survivors include her children, John E. Davis, Donna Faye Davis, and Barbara Sue Davis, all of Stearns, Kentucky, Charles L. Davis and his wife, Carroll, of Bronston, Kentucky, and Paulette Storie and her husband, Mike, of Ewing, Kentucky, brothers, James E. Lewis, Virgil "Pap" Lewis, and Larry C. Lewis, all of Stearns, Kentucky, sisters, Othela Duncan of Oneida, Tennessee, Evalee Duncan, Nelda Martin, and Carolyn Helbert, all of Stearns, Kentucky, Ella Mae Smith of Muncie, Indiana, and Joyce Smith of Pine Knot, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and one special niece, Jan Davis.
