Alice Phillips, age 77, of Pine Knot, Kentucky passed away Saturday, December 7, 2019 at her home. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Rock Springs United Baptist Church with Bro. Stephen Jones and Bro. Estel Jones officiating. Burial was in the Corder Cemetery. She was born June 4, 1942 in the Slavens community to Bolie Jones and Millie Gregory Jones. Alice devoted her life to being a homemaker and was a member of the Rock Springs United Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening. She loved church and family gatherings and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers, Teddy and Theodore and sisters, Hazel, Josie, Bessie, and Clara. Survivors include her husband, David, whom she married February 8, 1963, a son, Joseph Phillips and his wife, Rebecca, of Pine Knot, daughters, Patsy New of Burnside, Kathleen Gregory and her husband, Keeland, of Monticello, and Tammy Bryant and her husband, Tim of Pine Knot, eighteen grandchildren, and twenty five great grandchildren.
