Amy Lynn Thompson age 36 years and 25 days of Strunk, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2016 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. In keeping of her wishes, Miss Thompson was cremated. She was born June 8, 1980 in Jamestown, Tennessee to Bill Lynn Thompson and Linda (Gregory) Thompson. Amy was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed being outside working, going camping, four-wheeling, and fishing. Amy also enjoyed the company of little kids and animals, especially dogs. Survivors include her father, Bill Thompson of Jamestown, Tennessee; her mother, Linda Thompson and step-father, Henry Polley, of Stearns, Kentucky; special companion and best friend for years, Barbara Maples of Strunk, Kentucky; a special son she considered her own, Mark Wallace also of Strunk, Kentucky; a brother, Michael Ross and wife, Sharon, of Oneida, Tennessee; a sister, Regina Besko and husband, Charles G., of Strunk, Kentucky; a niece Annabella Grace Stevens, nephews, Jerry Stevens, Jr. and Hershel Stevens; and a host of several friends and loved ones. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Miss Amy Thompson.
