Archie Dwight Baird age 65 years, 5 months and 22 days of Sunbright, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016 at his home. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00pm in the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Robert Blankenship officiating. Jim Ross, Jack West, Pete Perry, Aaron Baird, Doug Ponder, and Darin Ross served as pallbearers. Burial followed in the Otter Creek Cemetery. He was born February 6, 1951 in Jellico, Tennessee to Estel and Virginia (King) Baird. Archie was a member of the First Otter Creek Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver and had worked as a master auto body repairman and builder. Archie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, especially jeep riding in the back country. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his companion and caregiver, Belinda Curtain of Sunbright, Tennessee; son, Aaron Baird and wife, Shannon of Strunk, Kentucky; daughter, Shonda West of Oneida, Tennessee; sisters, Phyllis Ross and husband, James of Xenia, Ohio and Faye West and husband, Jack of Williamsburg, Ohio; grandchildren Brysen, Shyann, Taylor, Justin, Renee and Albert. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and Pete Perry, whom he considered a son. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Archie Baird.
