Barkley Allen Jones, age 79, of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Medical Center and was placed in the care of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Marshes Siding Church of God with Bro. Harry Watters and Bro. Mike King officiating. Burial was in the Barrenfork Cemetery.

He was born October 2, 1943, in Whitley City, Kentucky to Walter Jones and Louella Hughes Jones. Barkley was a deacon at the Marshes Siding Church of God for almost 30 years. He earned his living as an electrician. Barkley enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, spending time with family, and attending church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, George Jones, and Calvin Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Jenette Jones, a son, Greg Jones and his wife, Cindy, a daughter, Shannon Jones, brothers, John Jones, and Jack Jones, and wife, Margaret, sisters, Wallena Hinkle, and husband, Ray, Betty Strode, and Geraldine Stephens, 6 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home was honored to serve the family of Barkley Jones.
