Beatrice Burchett, age 83 years, 13 days, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Peters officiating. Burial was in the Murton Wilson Family Cemetery. She was born May 10, 1934 in Strunk, Kentucky to Cecil and Jewel (Neal) Creekmore. Beatrice was retired from American Bag Corporation and cared for children in her own daycare, she was a member of the Marsh Creek Baptist Church. Beatrice found pleasure in gardening, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family, friends and pets. Preceding her in death were her parents, and a brother, Ackmon Creekmore. Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia Burchett, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Rachel Kikendall, of Lexington, Kentucky and Patricia Crabtree, of Monticello, Kentucky, one son, Freddie Burchett, of Lexington, Kentucky, one brother, Cecil Creekmore, Jr. of Strunk, Kentucky, two sisters, Mary Strunk, of Strunk, Kentucky, Georgie Wilson, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and four grandchildren.
