Bobby L. Smith age 45 years, 2 months, and 24 days of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm at the Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Dow Goodin and Bro. Wade Heath officiating. Burial followed in the Marlar Cemetery. He was born September 28, 1970 in Somerset, Kentucky to Jerry R. Smith and Mila H. (Spradlin) Smith. He was a member of the Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church and the Eagle-Sawyer Fire Department. Preceding him in death are his grandparents, Lummer Smith, Lawrence Smith, and Lettie Spradlin. Survivors include his wife, Janet (Cordell) Smith; parents, Jerry and Mila Smith, all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; a brother, Charles Smith and wife, Julie, of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters, Loretta Ridener and husband, Doug, and Teresa Smith and companion, John Higginbothan, all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; his grandmother, Lola Smith, also of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren; a special nephew, Cory Lewis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Bobby Smith.
