Bonnie Edwards, age 82, of Whitley City, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and was placed into the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Lower Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family received friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 12:00pm until the funeral hour.

Bonnie was born to Ernest and Martha Jones Perry, on January 1st, 1942, in McCreary County. She married the love of her life, James Edwards, and would always tell stories about him to her family. Bonnie truly loved life, she was always a prankster, loving to make people laugh. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, entertaining all of her family and telling them stories. She enjoyed driving her car and people watching, especially in the Kroger parking lot. Bonnie was active at the McCreary County Senior Citizens Center and She was a member of the Lower Hickory Grove Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, James, her son, Darrin Hill, her daughters, Roxane Coffey, and Lisa Jennings, her four brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanette Jones, her grandchildren, Amy Dykes and her husband Ron, Jeremy Shelton and his wife Jennifer, of Greenville, TN, TJ Mascaro, of Knoxville, TN, Nicholas Hill, of Cincinnati, Jeffery Jennings, of Sevierville, Angela Jennings, of Greenville, TN, Amber Buffalo and her husband Cory, of Greenville, and Amanda Angell of Florida, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
