Brenda Sue Baker, age 79 years, and 1 day passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at St. Joseph Health in London, Kentucky and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Sunday, January 9, 2022, in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Watters and Bro. Drew Baker officiating. Burial followed in McCreary Memorial Gardens. She was born January 3, 1943, in Oneida, Tennessee to Clyde Stanley and Ola Holloway Stanley. Brenda attended the Marshes Siding Church of God and was a past member of the American Legion Ladies auxiliary and past president locally, and on state level. After retiring from Walmart she opened Victorian Thymes where she made candles and soap. She loved her dog Bella and her flower garden, but above all she loved her family and spending time with them. She will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, William "Jocko" Baker, sisters, Jeanine Stanley, and Mary Riddle, brothers, Lewis Stanley, Billy Stanley, Clyde Stanley Jr., and Eugene Stanley and grandson, James Tucker. Survivors include son, William Roger Baker II, and wife Grace Ann, daughters, Shonda Tucker, and husband, Rick, and Sherry Baker, brother, Roy Stanley, and wife, Sherry, twin sister, Martha Newport, grandchildren, Shawnna Hamlin, and (Tyson), McKenzie Hamlin, and (Jordan), Colton Baker, Bayleigh Baker, Joshua Tucker, Haley Tucker, Mickey Sutton, and (Presley), Jakeilla Ellis, and (Ronnie), Lakinzie Wallace, and (Cagen), 10 great grandchildren, and in-laws, Ralph Baker, and (Marcia), Alfreda Daulton, and (Mike), David Michael Baker, Wilda Hazlett, and Barbara Cravens Jackson.
