Carroll Dale Howlin age 81 years, 1 month, and 1 day, a long time resident of Whitley City, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Baptist Health of Corbin Hospital. In accordance to Mr. Howlin's wishes, his remains were cremated. He was born, April 6, 1934 in Quincey, Illinois to Fred Howlin and Frieda (Carroll) Howlin. Carroll was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Diocese of Joliet. He had earned a Master's Degree in Divinity from St. Mary of the Lake. Carroll enjoyed helping people. Preceding him in death are his parents. Survivors include a sister, Charlotte Howlin Demos; nieces and nephews; and many friends in McCreary County and the surrounding area. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Mr. Carroll Howlin.
