Chester Dylenn Ross, age 83 years and 16 days, of Stearns, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial was in the Angel Cemetery.

He was born August 20, 1939 in Barthell to Oda Ross and Elizabeth Watters Ross. Chester served proudly in the United States Army, where he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal. He loved serving his country. He was employed at Tecumseh before his retirement and was a member of the Upper Hickory Grove Baptist Church. Chester was a true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt deer and fish. He also enjoyed working in his garden but found the greatest pleasure from spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a brother, Billy Dean Ross, a nephew, Derek Ross, and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Annette (Ann) Lawson Goodwin.

Survivors include his wife, Shelba Dean Ross, a daughter, Sharon L. Ross, grandson, Tony Crabtree, great grandson, Weston Crabtree, and sister-in-law, Peggy Lawson.
