James Christopher Egnew, Jr. age 45 years, 4 months, and 18 days, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Moncreif and Bro. Scott Gregory officiating. He was born March 18, 1972 in Knoxville, Tennessee to James C. Egnew and Azalie Favre Egnew. Chris was a member of the Good Shepherd Catholic Church and worked as a sales manager for Outdoor Venture Corporation. In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors, shooting sports, and continued to enjoy football after having played while in high school. Chris loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Coffey Egnew, his parents, J. C. and Azalie Egnew, a son, Nicholas Christian Egnew, stepchildren, Jared and Shannon Coffey, Brandon and Andrea Coffey, and Kyle and Natalie Coffey, a brother, Alexander Christian Egnew, his mother-in-law, Imogene Coffey, grandchildren, Emilee, Peyton, Gauge, Jaelynn, Taylor, and Chloe, niece, Savannah Egnew, and nephew, A. J. Egnew. Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home served the family of Chris Egnew.
