Christine H. Davis, age 87 years, 3 months, and 9 days, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Larry Waters, and Pastor Bruce Waters officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie. She was born August 24, 1930 in Whitely City, Kentucky to Claude E. and Lorrie (Ledbetter) Frady. Christine attended Whitley City Schools and later married the love of her life, Rev. Hoyt Davis, Besides being a devoted Pastor's wife, she had sold Mary Kay Cosmetics and Avon for over 20 years. Christine was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Esther White Shrine, and the Bethel United Baptist Church, she found pleasure in doing crochet work, making afghans, collecting angels and dolls. Preceding her in death were her parents, her foster parents, Lige and Lilly Waters, one son, Alvin Davis, one daughter, Helen Joan Davis, three brothers, Kenneth Frady, Bobby Frady and Doyle Frady, one sister, Magdalene Cook. Survivors include her husband, Rev. Hoyt Davis, whom she married November 2, 1946, one daughter, Betty Sue Perry, and her husband, James, of Sydney, Ohio, one son, Claude Earl Davis, and his wife Evelyn, of Nashville, Tennessee, one grandson, Scott Earl Davis, a special nephew, Jim Ledbetter, of Spokane, Washington, several nieces and nephews, and a very special friend, Debbie Phillips, and her husband, Eugene, of Muncie, Indiana.
