Christy Josephine Stevens, age 97 years, 11 months, and 16 days, of Strunk, Kentucky was called home on Friday, November 8, 2024, and was placed in the care of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Monday, November 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the chapel of the Hickman-Strunk Funeral Home. Burial followed in the Marcum-Kidd Cemetery. The family received friends after 11:00 am Monday at the funeral home.

She was born in Crossroads, Tennessee on November 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Monce and Alice Phillips.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred Stevens, Daughters Carolyn Dewbre, Son Olen Stevens, Infants Dianne and David Stevens, Sisters Luella Foster, Imogene King, Beulah Rose Phillips, and Son-in-Law Frank Niblack.

Josephine is survived by her Daughters Freda Niblack, Barbra Stevens, and son, Archie Stevens & Son-in-Law Eddie Dewbre

Grandchildren: Nonnie Trammell, Damon and Daphanie Stevens, Frankie Charles and April Niblack, Felicicia and John Bird, Christie Garcia and Amy and Shane Miller, Chad and Kathy Stevens, Eric and Tammy Stevens, Mindy and Jason Creekmore and a host of great grandchildren

Josephine was of the Baptist Faith and loved to sing gospel music. She had been a member of the Foster Crossroads Church.

Her prize procession was her family and loved each and everyone. She always had a smile on her face. She was a Teacher at Grave-Hill school, loved cooking, flying to Texas, Canning and Gardening, and calling her surviving children daily.

She lived a long life with her Jesus by her side daily. She was the eldest of 4 sisters and as they had already passed she has now gone on to meet them.
